Ansul Jet-X is a high expansion foam concentrate approved by Underwriters Laboratories and Factory Mutual that can be used to combat fires in building, process areas, warehouses and aircraft hangar systems. It is also useful in protecting liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage facilities by quickly blanketing the flammable surface and helping to control the release of vapors.

Using ansul high expansion foam is a cost-effective way to protect your facility from large-scale, complex fires. Unlike traditional water-based fire sprinkler systems, they don’t require a constant supply of water to operate, which can help minimize downtime.

A high expansion foam system works by blowing a foam solution against a net or screen, creating many large bubbles and allowing the blanket of foam to take up a large volume. This results in a foam fire protection system that is very effective in extinguishing blazes in industrial, commercial and residential buildings.

Dyne Technologies is able to test these types of firefighting foams according to NFPA and recognized standards. These tests ensure that the physical properties and performance characteristics of a high expansion firefighting foam are as they should be in the field.

Ansul Jet-X is available in 6%, 3% and 1% concentrate concentrations and can be mixed with water to produce foam solutions that can be used to extinguish fires. The 3% and 1% concentrations have an expansion ratio of 20:1 or less, while the 6% concentrate has an expansion ratio of 1,000:1 or greater.
