optimum 380 is a highly-efficient, polycarboxylate high range water reducing superplasticizer developed for the production of self-consolidating concrete (SCC) in ready mix applications. It is designed to extend slump life and impart extreme workability without segregation, while producing SCC with a high early strength. It also improves concrete surface finish characteristics and reduces bugholes, making it ideal for use on projects with tight schedules.

Optimum 380 can be used in the same manner as conventional high-range water reducers, allowing your mixer operator to maintain the initial slump of fresh concrete until it is discharged from the truck. It is available as a ready-to-use brown liquid and is compatible with most concrete mixes. It can be dispensed from metered trucks, through automated slump management systems or in drums or totes.

In addition to extending slump life, optimum 380 can significantly reduce the amount of water required for SCC production by up to 30%. It can also be used with retarders to control the hydration of cement and thereby achieve higher levels of early strength.
